Another week in Rosario :)

Hola mi Familia!!
We had a kinda crazy week this week!! I have my new companion Elder Aguilar, he is from Lima Peru and honestly is the best teacher I have met on the mission. He really likes to study the scriptures so he knows them really well and can always pull them out in a lesson. That helps a lot. He is kinda new in our mission, he was waiting for his visa in the Lima North mission for 9 months, so I am trying to help him get used to the rules we have here in this mission. But once we get everything worked out and into place I think we will have a lot of success!
Last week for pday we decided to go to Burger King to eat! I have now eaten the 3 fast food places here in Rosario! Then randomly after we decided to go bowling and it was super fun!! We were able to play 2 games for 25 pesos which is like 3 dollars!! we are gonna go again today!
M. is doing really well still, she is still on track to be baptized on the 15th of February! She didn't make it to church on Sunday because it literally was raining super hard! We had very little people in the church because when that happens its really hard for them since most people don't have cars in my area. Rain really makes missionary work a pain in the butt here haha. But she is really excited to continue in the church and do all she can to follow the Lord. She has felt his help and she has also seen the trials that come when someone is about to take a big step in their life. She is a really special woman, I have come to love her a lot and I am always just super happy when we leave her house.
We found this other lady this week named G., we don't know if she is really interested but we had a good lesson with her. She is an ex Jehovas Witness. She accepted to read the Book of Mormon and she seemed to feel the spirit in our lesson, she told us we could go back on Saturday but she wasn't home, we are gonna keep going by because my comp loves to teach JWs haha.
This week I had an idea, I want to challenge ALL of you to read the Book of Mormon in the next 11 months before I get home! I have the goal to do it 2 times but I know it will be a huge blessing for all of our family if we all did it together! Starting...... NOW! hah
I feel like I kinda hit a road bump this week, I'm very unsure of what direction we need to go to be able to help our area grow and find new people to teach and everything. The attendance in our ward is dropping and it worries me. I know that I am here for a reason and I need to help cause real growth in my area. We are gonna try passing by a lot more less active families to help them come back to church. I'm doing well, loving the mission, trying not to be stressed as the senior zone leader, but we are still working hard! have a great week, I love you all!!

Pres is a Thief!! :)

Hola Familia!

This was a long week but it was good, I feel like so many things happened this week. Well as you all know, Elder Eliosoff is now the AP so that explains the title of this email. Pres steals all of my comps to be AP! haha He will be great though. My new comp is named Elder Aguilar and he is from Peru. I don't know him yet but I have heard good things.

So M is doing really well. We had a couple really good lessons with her this week but she was not able to make it to church because the old lady that she takes care of for work had some problems. But she realizes that the Lord wants her to go and there is also someone else who doesn't want her to go and that is why she has troubles. But she is reading and praying everyday and always talks about her BAPTISM!! :)

This week we had interviews with President! He is honestly an amazing man. I always leave them feeling good, he has yet to get mad at me so I'm a little nervous that he is storing it all up ;) haha but really he is great!

We have been searching for new people like crazy!! on Saturday we did 71 contacts which honestly is unheard of in one day. My record before that was 43 in a  day. But we found some great people and we are gonna go back by some of them this weekend and so I'm hoping that they will have some interest. We had one old lady start hitting on us and she told us that she went to our church when she was young because the Elders were good looking. ;) hahahah
This week the price of the dollar went way up!! I took money out of the bank on Wednesday and that was the day it peaked so I pulled it out at the perfect time!!! They said that it will probs keep going up so I may end up selling the dollars I still have in cash! But I did the math and I saved 45 dollars by not taking money out on Tuesday and doing it on Wednesday!
Sorry I know this is a really short letter but I'm slightly overwhelmed right now trying to take care of transfers for the whole zone.... ALONE!! haha but I'm doing well and I promise to write more next week!! Love you guys have a great week!!

Hot and HUMID here in Rosario!

Hola Familia!!

So we had a pretty good week, it was kinda a roller coaster but it was decent. We wont be having any baptisms this week, I´ll explain.

On Monday night we were knocking doors and we found an awesome family!! C. and her 2 kids, T. and L. They were all very focused on what we had to say and wanted to learn more. They used to go to the Evangelical church but they haven't been going for about 6 months. I have a lot of faith that they will progress in the gospel. The only problem is we went back and they were really busy in the weekend but we are gonna go this week!

I got pretty sunburnt last pday! We went to play soccer and basketball at the stake center and being the smart/super tan guy I am I didn't put on a drop of sunscreen on. But I bathed in Aloe for a few days and now I'm doing good. It pretty much took care of my watch tan line though :)

So we did another exchange this week and I was in CarcaraƱa. Its a pueblo about an hour from Rosario. But on the way there we were waiting in the bus station and I met a group of people from Austrailia again! and I met a guy who lives in Eureka, Utah!?!?! how crazy!! His wife is from here and they came to visit. Like 3 times in a row that we went to the terminal I spoke English to someone!

So obviously this week I hit 1 year in the mission! Its crazy how fast time is going, to be honest a lot of the time it goes too fast. But I"m trying to make the most of every week. We have transfers next week and I will most likely be getting a new comp so it will be kinda wierd having him ask me questions about the ZL stuff when usually I ask my comp! But it will be good!

So M. and R. The day I was in Carcarana my comp went to teach them and they were sounding like they didn't want us to come over any more. M. had talked with her friend who told her a bunch of lies about our church and stuff. but M. talked to the Relief Society pres this week on the phone and told her that she still wants us to go by and stuff so that made me really happy. It sounds like R. doesn't want to anymore though.....  I´ll have more updates next week for sure!!

We went to visit V. and her family on Saturday to finish teaching everything before her baptism interview and as we were talking she told us she really wants her dad to baptize her. The problem is he has a little problem with drinking. So we decided to postpone the baptism and we are going to keep working with them a lot to help her dad be able to baptize her as quick as possible! It was a really good lesson with him and the spirit was really strong!

2 funny things from this week!
1. We were sitting in our study room one day and it was really really hot... I wanted to know how hot it was but we don't have anything... or so we thought! I grabbed my first aid kit and put that thermometer that goes under your tongue out the window and it was 103!! then the next day 105! then the next day 108!!! its crazy hot!!
2. After 3 months my comp finally followed my wise council and shaved his legs. Life is so much better with shaved legs. But he liked it so much that one day he decided to shave his arms!! haha we have a couple funny pics!! :)

Love you all!! have another great week and I will talk to you next Tuesday because we have transfers!
